Netgear buys CP Secure
Netgear, a US manufacturer of computer networking equipment, will aquire the assets of CP Secure for up to $17.5 million, reports Bizjournals.
CP Secure is a provider of integrated security products to protect organisations from Internet-originated Web and e-mail-based malware threats.
Netgear will pay $14 million in cash for China-based CP Secure's assets and an additional $3.5 million in cash following closure of the acquisition if certain specified objectives are achieved.
Fienberg joins BBN Technologies
Jeffrey Feinberg has joined BBN Technologies, an advanced technology solutions firm, as vice-president, Advanced Networking Systems, says Business Wire.
Feinberg will lead a team of 70 scientists and engineers who implement BBN's research to develop networking systems for challenging environments and critical missions.
The BBN unit Feinberg now leads is best known for expertise in wireless, ad hoc networks, satellite technology and security, and low power networks.
