NetIQ`s groundbreaking AppManager Suite has earned certification for Microsoft Windows Server 2003. It is the first systems management solution to be certified for Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition and Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition.
"The Windows Server 2003 logo certification demonstrates that NetIQ provides the highest level of assurance and application experience to customers by providing reliability, security, availability and supportability through rigorous requirements and third-party independent testing," said NetIQ product specialist at NSS, Riaan Odendaal.
NetIQ AppManager Suite assures the performance and availability of mission-critical servers and applications across Windows, Unix and Linux platforms through proactive monitoring and quick diagnostics and recovery. It also helps optimise the usage and productivity of IT resources through advanced reporting, analysis and automation. In addition to delivering the broadest and deepest management view into the IT infrastructure, AppManager provides a robust architecture that is easy to use, quick to deploy and capable of scaling to thousands of servers.
Odendaal explained that the Windows Server 2003 logo certification indicates that applications and solutions meet technical standards established for reliability, security and manageability on the Windows Server 2003 platform. "This includes testing for features that make applications more robust, easier to use or work with the latest technologies," he said. "AppManager passed stringent compliance testing requirements set by Microsoft.
"As NetIQ`s South African partner, it`s NSS`s mission is to provide systems and security management solutions to assure, analyse and optimise the performance, availability and security of our customers` IT infrastructure," he added. "Achieving Windows Server 2003 certification is a testament to that mission."
