Local Web-enablement and enterprise software specialist, Dax Data, has unveiled RUMBA version 7, the first host access product designed specifically for Windows 2000 and incorporating interactive support technology.
Jeremy Matthews, MD of Dax Data, says the new release of RUMBA also features embedded SSL (Secure Socket Layer) security.

Section 508 Compliance - First Windows 2000 logo-ready host access software with "adaptive technology" meeting the US Federal Rehabilitation Act standards for providing software access for people with various visual, tactile, or aural handicaps.
Windows 2000 Logo Compliant - Opens Windows 2000 features and functions to users, including Active Directory Services, enhanced power management and roaming user support.
Microsoft Installer - Speeds RUMBA deployment, enables shared resource management and easy application selection and customisation.
Security - SSL 3.0 support, including encryption and authentication, enables secure access to applications and data transfer between desktops and mainframe or AS/400 hosts.
