Getting connected with broadband Internet is easier and cheaper than ever before.
Internet service providers (ISPs) can now offer customers ADSL lines along with their access accounts in one package, which means that customers no longer need to apply for ADSL lines from Telkom.
According to Matthew Tagg, MD of one of SA's leading ISPs, Web Africa, this new service offers significant benefits for consumers. "Web Africa's DSL Complete packages will save customers time and money."
"Customers now only need to deal with their ISP to get the full access package - they don't need to go through the protracted process of applying for ADSL lines through Telkom. A big bonus is that customers pay no set-up costs."
Tagg says the DSL Complete packages also mean that customers are paying less for ADSL. "ADSL is an 'always on' connection, which offers faster Web browsing and immediate access to e-mails as they come in. These new bundles mean that ADSL connectivity is more affordable for home and small business users."
Web Africa is offering packages to suit anyone's pocket. An award-winning ISP, the company offers some unique services for ADSL users. These include 24-hour technical support, the ability to log line faults without having to go to Telkom, and 'automated top-ups', which enable customers to add further bandwidth to their accounts quickly and easily online.
Customers can also benefit from Web Africa's proprietary DSL Console, which allows ADSL subscribers to manage their accounts all in one control panel. Features include a usage monitor, which allows users to view their usage, giving daily details on bandwidth used. Web Africa was also the first ISP to offer DSLSecure, an effective measure against bandwidth theft and hacking.
Web Africa's DSL Complete bundles start at R275 including VAT for a 384k line and 1GB account and are offered month-to-month or on contract. The ISP is offering a free DSL four-port router to customers who sign two-year contracts.
