Kyocera Mita announces two new digital copiers with optional network printing, long life components, scanning and faxing capabilities. The KM-2530 and KM-3530 have been designed to offer the ultimate in multifunctionality, still at the lowest cost per copy.
The KM-2530 and KM-3530 replace the Vi230 and Vi310 respectively. The KM-2530 will enter segment 2 (21-30cpm) producing 25cpm and the KM-3530 will enter segment 3 (31-40cpm) producing 35cpm, both at a resolution of 600dpi. They both have a first copy speed of less than 3.9 seconds thanks to a short paper path and a special inner exit tray design.
A Triple Access function enables the operation of functions simultaneously. Print or copy functions can be used while scanned data or e-mails are being sent to a PC - dramatically increasing job efficiency.
The drum and fixing unit are designed to last 400 000 / 500 000 pages respectively, keeping the operating costs low.
Environmentally Friendly
Kyocera Mita`s concern for the environment is always considered from concept and these latest models are no exception. Dioxin-free external material has been used so harmful emissions are minimised when the outer shell is eventually burnt. Durable long life components are used for smooth and reliable operation keeping operating costs low and ensuring a minimum impact on the environment and minimising waste and costs.
Innovative design
Research has resulted in a completely original design combining practicality and attractiveness. The modular copiers are compact and have been designed using two colours - grey and midnight blue.
To further improve operation, the KM-2530 and KM-3530 have been installed with a wide touch screen operating panel. The screens are easy to operate, with illustrated guidance to navigate operational procedures.
The fax function has been simplified by the introduction of a one-touch address key displaying 200 addresses on the screen that can be searched quickly and easily.
Paper handling
Both machines have excellent paper handling capabilities for both feeding and output as well as a range of flexible finishing options including hole-punch, stapling and booklet solutions. The internal finisher is a staple solution that can handle up to 30 pages. The hole-punch finisher has a stapling function, and the booklet finisher has an optional hole-punch function.
Document management
The KM-2530 and KM-3530 produce high quality scanning at 600dpi up to A3. scanned images can be converted to PDF or TIFF files and stored directly into specific folders in a PC on the network. Scanned documents can also be attached to e-mail and sent to multiple servers.
PaperPort software is included in the Print / Scan System allowing the user to organise different types of documents including messages, bills, faxes, direct mail, catalogues, photographs, postcards and many more.
It is also possible to print without using a PC by linking print data to a barcode and storing it on an optional hard disk, then reading the barcode attached to the document with an optional barcode reader.
Networking
The KM-2530 and KM-3530 come standard with interface cards enabling you to send a print job to a remote printer in a different building or even country.
