Lexmark`s environmentally friendly Prebate cartridge program lowers the cost per page by offering a significant price discount up front on a brand-new toner cartridge while providing free and easy return of empties for re-manufacturing. Lexmark is also committed to reducing the amount of time spent supporting printers. These printers are easy to set up and use and can make users productive faster, ultimately reducing training costs.

Save time, balance workload and allocate printing costs MarkVision, Lexmark`s powerful printer management utility also helps reduce support costs for the Optra S printers. In addition to popular features such as remote set-up, status and problem diagnosis, MarkVision offers unique features like job statistics, printer inventory and "gas gauges" to determine toner and paper levels. MarkVision can even send an alert for conditions such as toner or paper low and output bin nearly full, to prevent problems before they happen.

All of these features improve network administrator productivity, ultimately reducing help desk costs. The recently announced MarkTrack software product from Lexmark makes it easy for customers to analyse the information captured by MarkVision through a variety of popular financial and administrative reports for cost accounting and workload balancing. MarkTrack can also help users plan future purchases for printers and supplies by analysing actual printing by user or department.
