Venture Computer, the sole distributor in Southern Africa for Lexmark International, today announced the new Lexmark 3200 printer. With best-in-class performance and exacting specifications, the new Lexmark 3200 Color Jetprinter is an outstanding product for both personal and professional use.
It is the first photo quality printer to feature true 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution, and achieves superb definition in both colour and mono operation.
In terms of all-round performance, the Lexmark 3200 is a clear leader in the mid-range sector. It has speeds of up to 6 ppm in black and 2.5 ppm in colour, and has the capability to take almost every kind and most printing tasks in its stride.
Manufactured to a new build standard of the highest quality, the Lexmark 3200 is quiet in operation, and features a dual-cartridge design for greater flexibility and ease of use. It incorporates a drop-and-go 100-sheet input and accepts a broad range of media, including plain paper, photo paper, transparencies, envelopes and banner paper.
Lexmark`s EX2 technology ensures the highest resolution (1.44 million dots per square inch) with improved colour tables and enhanced drivers. Consequently, the Lexmark 3200 delivers the greatest precision, accuracy and brilliance of colour with every page. The use of super-sharp, waterproof black pigmented ink ensures laser-quality results on all media - even on plain paper. Because the print head is replaced every time the cartridge is changed, excellent print quality is assured throughout the life of the printer.
Fully Year-2000 compliant, the 3200 supports Windows 95, 98, Windows NT 4.0 and OS/2. The driver was developed by Oxford based Software 2000, winners of the 1998 design award. Easy to use and understand, it is supplied on an auto-install CD-ROM with full user`s manual and quick set-up guide.
Micrografx Windows Draw 6.0 SE, complete with projects book, is also included in the box. This versatile graphics design package incorporates thousands of ready-to-print projects with editable photos and clip art. A well-established favourite, it`s a very easy, yet comprehensive program that enhances the quality and value of the Lexmark 3200.
