The government`s official Web site has been redesigned in line with the government`s 'corporate identity` and with the new Batho Pele Government Services Gateway plan.
Government Communications (GCIS) launched the redesigned South African Government information portal this week.
The new-look site includes more information and is designed to be easier to navigate and provide a more consistent user interface throughout.
GCIS says the purpose of the information portal is to provide a single entry point to all South African government online information, complementing the Government Services Gateway, which provides access to information about all government services.
The information portal includes links to the Web sites of various government departments, contact details and information about SA and its government structures.
The government believes "this initiative will further expand public access to government information".
