Danware, the world`s leading provider of high quality remote control software for professional users, announced today the release of a new update to NetOp Remote Control that sets new standards by offering increased speed and security, plus a broad selection of other valuable features.
The new version of NetOp supports remote control access from any Internet-connected PC. This is achieved by enabling users to store the Guest on a removable media device such as a USB flash key. This eliminates the need to install the module on any specific PC, thereby maximising portability, convenience and speed of use. The USB Guest can take full control of the Host, hold personal settings like phonebook items, transfer important files, and more.
The new NetOp Remote Control 7.65 also ups the ante on defence by now supporting RSA security. RSA SecurID authentication sets up access privileges through the NetOp security server by verifying the Guest identity against an RSA ACE/Server using the Guest`s username, pin and a SecurID token code. When combined with a shadow Guest ID NetOp password, the RSA SecurID solution is elevated to "triple-factor" authentication via the NetOp Security Server.
To benefit users of handheld devices the new NetOp now supports Windows CE 4.x. This further extends the remote monitoring and management capabilities from inside or outside the office. This feature gives Windows Pocket PC 2003 users mobile convenience, enabling them to tackle the widest range of company tasks "anywhere, anytime".
"Another exciting feature in this version is the ability to have multiple Guest sessions with a single Host," explains Ighsaan Akojee, Product Manager at Networks Unlimited for NetOp Remote Control. "The fact that this significant feature is included in a free (to 7.6 users) update represents incredible value."
The new feature improves NetOp`s usability by allowing a Windows Host to accept multiple Windows Guest sessions simultaneously. The first Guest is assigned keyboard and mouse control, if their security role allows it, while the other Windows Guests have view-only privileges. This feature also allows the Host to accept multiple file transfers and chat sessions.
