"The new Predator gaming notebooks are designed for demanding gamers who want power, speed and functionality in a slick-looking form-factor," says Pieter Geere, Acer product manager at Tarsus Distribution. "Powered by the new sixth-generation Intel Core processor and boasting the NVIDIA GeForce GTX980M graphics card, the Predator 17 notebook is designed from the ground up to give gamers the edge wherever they play."
Sporting red accents and a black chassis with geometric lines and soft texture coating for extra grip, the Predator notebooks look ready for action. Under the hood, the new gaming notebooks feature the Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX980M GPU, up to 64GB of DDR4 memory and enterprise level 512GB NVMe PCIe solid state drives (SSDs).
The new notebook features a 17.3-inch full HD screen and supports up to three displays, including one NVIDIA G-SYNC monitor for the ultimate in gaming visuals and realism. Predator SoundPound delivers stellar audio features, including up to four built-in speakers and two subwoofers for 12 watts of crystal clear audio and rich bass.
To help extreme gamers keep their notebooks running cool after hours of intense play, the notebook features the Predator FrostCore. This swappable Cooler Master fan module, exclusive to Acer, can be inserted into the notebook's optical disk drive bay to cool down long sessions with demand games.
Acer's dust protection system, Predator DustDefender, uses dual high-speed fans with reverse rotation to remove dust build-up, improve heat dissipation and minimise noise. The new notebook also features the Acer PredatorSense gaming control panel, allowing gamers to customise the keyboard's lighting and control gaming features with programmable keys.
