Intel and Fujitsu Siemens Computers simultaneously announce a range of new notebooks based on the latest Intel 965GM chipset technology.
Over the coming months, Fujitsu Siemens Computers - Europe's leading IT vendor - will launch a number of new Lifebook professional notebook models, as well as a Celsius H workstation with the latest Intel technology.
In the consumer segment, four new AMILO consumer notebooks based on Intel CentrinoR Duo processor technology will be unveiled.
In conjunction with IntelR CentrinoR Duo processor technology, the new models offer better connectivity and appreciably more performance and speed. Thanks to IntelR Turbo Memory function, booting time is reduced and battery lifetime is expanded significantly for PCs including this feature.
In addition, the professional notebooks from Fujitsu Siemens Computers come with integrated WLAN and Bluetooth, as well as UMTS/HSUPA, to ensure high-speed data transfer from the Internet. Intel Centrino Pro processor technology and its Intel Active Management Technology ease system management and regular security-updates.
Andrew Tsobanoglou, Product Manager at Professional Products, comments: "As innovation leaders in mobility products, we are delighted that our new products, based on the latest Intel technologies, will be able to offer our customers even more convenience and security for their mobile work. Our new models develop and enhance the time-proven qualities of Fujitsu Siemens Computers: high mobility, thanks to low weight and long battery life, outstanding reliability and security, all combined with the latest mobility technology."
Christian Morales, Vice President and General Manager of Intel Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) commented: "Fujitsu Siemens is offering an impressive range of mobile computing options for both business and consumers by utilising Intel's leading-edge innovative technologies.
"Intel Centrino Pro-based laptops are instrumented to ease considerably the job of IT managers - enabling remote and wireless manageability to perform updates, troubleshooting and inventory in less time - with gains in productivity and savings in IT support related costs.
"Intel Centrino Pro and Intel Centrino Duo-based laptops also deliver increased performance, thanks to IntelR CoreT 2 Duo processor, improved wireless connectivity and battery life. We expect laptops with compelling performance and connectivity options will accelerate the already marked mobility adoption trends in Europe."
