GWAVA announces the latest release of Retain Message Archiving version 2.5. Retain 2.5 provides archiving for collaboration tools along with significant improvements of its publishing tool.

Retain now makes it easier to move and restore archives from one e-mail system to another. It also allows customers to store archives from different e-mail systems on a single Retain server. Retain 2.5 supports Microsoft Exchange 2007 and 2010. In addition to e-mail, Retain archives IM and VOIP data for OCS (Exchange 2007) and Lync (Exchange 2010).
Retain also:
* Provides litigation hold support for both ACL and role-based access control.
* Offers improvements to the publisher. The Retain publisher has been extensively redesigned with new features, including a full searching filter, both PST and PDF export capabilities and redaction.
* Supports importing and exporting of PST files.
* Allows any Retain-archived message to be restored into a different target Exchange system. Even GroupWise messages archived with Retain can be restored into Exchange. All Retain-archived messages can be stored on a single Retain server, regardless of the system with which they were archived.
