New SME back-up solution headed for South Africa

Iomega and Computer Associates International (CA) have announced an OEM agreement to deliver a complete back-up, recovery, archive, data protection and antivirus solution for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) using Microsoft Windows Small Business Server (SBS) 2000/2003.

The REV 35GB/90GB SBS Data Protection solution is an all-in-one product that combines Iomega hardware and CA software to offer total protection for SMEs. The product suite consists of an Iomega REV 35GB/90GB USB 2.0 drive, 5 REV disks and Computer Associates BrightStor ARCserve Backup for Small Business Server including Exchange and SQL Agents. It also includes 5 workstation (desktop/notebook) licences and 5 eTrust AntiVirus licences. Integrated disaster recovery software ensures that the SBS Data Protection solution is the most comprehensive bundle for SMEs with its higher performance, lower cost and more reliable data protection than traditional tape drives.
