In a development which promises to revolutionise the way individuals obtain corporate data and make business decisions, Software AG have unveiled its unique Enterprise Information Integration (EII) solution, a software gateway that provides access to data sources using business terms regardless of the system or format of the underlying data.
The new integration platform dynamically aggregates data based on the role of the user requesting the information and the context of how the information will be used. As a result, even non-technical users can gain a relevant, focused view of dissimilar corporate information.
Frikkie Bosch, Product Specialist at Software AG South Africa, elaborates: "Our EII product uses Extensible Mark-up Language (XML) tagging to link business terms to data, which means users can access data using their own terminology and receive information in ways that make sense to their particular roles in the organisation. Unlike most EII solutions on the market, which use a simplistic 'virtual database' approach, Software AG's product integrates actual data structures so that users can create customised, actionable information from raw data in real-time.
