A new Viewsonic Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) flat screen monitor has been launched in South Africa by JSE-listed Rectron.
The Viewsonic VE150 offers rich, vivid colours, is lightweight and features a full 15 inch viewable area, with a 1024 x 768 resolution.
The VE150 has wide viewing angles that reach up to 100 degrees vertically and 120 degrees horizontally, and active matrix colour technology ensures sharp images.
According to Rectron product manager Johnathan Tsao, LCD monitors have taken the market by storm in Europe and the US.
"The latest Viewsonic LCD monitor has outstanding high contrast and brightness, however the anti-static, antiglare screen treatment pioneered by Viewsonic ensures that unwanted light is channelled away from the user.
"Its display of spreadsheets, word processing and internet browsing make it ideal for use by financial, industrial and corporate users, and its slim profile (it measures only 3.1 inches) is perfect for areas where space is limited," he says.
