introduces informatics
Ebonyi State University Teaching Hospital (EBSUTH) has introduced the use of technology ordinarily referred to as medical informatics, in its practice of medicine, says Trading Markets.
Though the hospital says it lacks manpower in the area of medical image science or radiography, it is one of the first teaching hospitals in Nigeria to have a department of medical informatics.
Chief medical director of EBSUTH, Dr Onyebuchi Chukwu, said the hospital has obtained the service of a medical informatics expert, who he said has been doing well to develop IT facilities within the hospital.
