Nitro Dedicated Servers: traffic tripled, overages halved

Johannesburg, 19 Jan 2011

Last year Web Africa announced the launch of its new Nitro Dedicated Server Range.

“Due to the massive uptake, Web Africa has been able to roll out improvements on this range as of today,” says Cliff Hazell, Head of Product and Marketing. “These have increased speed and reliability as well as value and savings,” he adds.

Overage costs have been decreased to 2c per MB and bandwidth allocations have been increased to:

* Nitro Server: 80GB (was 20GB)
* Nitro Server+: 300GB (was 100GB)
* Nitro Managed: 80GB (was 20GB)
* Nitro Managed+: 300GB (was 100GB)

The range features Nitro servers hosted in the Teraco data centres and come with the following hardware:

* Two x 500 GB with RAID1 option
* 6GB DDR3
* E5504 XEON 2.13 GHZ Quad Core

“If you are currently on any of their Nitro Dedicated Server Packages, your package/s will automatically be updated with the new allocation and prices,” says Hazell.

“If you are not yet on one of their packages, you can be signed up within 60 seconds via Web Africa's Web site,” he concludes.
