Nokia brings e-books to the Lumia

T3 reports.

Nokia Reading, which first appeared at Mobile World Congress, is the latest exclusive app for the Lumia 800, Lumia 900, Lumia 610 and Lumia 710 devices, running Windows Phone Mango.

Users of Nokia Lumia devices can also browse and purchase books that were written in their native languages in addition to English-language titles. Nokia also indicated that a number of classics will be available free-of-charge for Nokia Lumia users using the Nokia Reading application and service, Planet Insane writes.

Users based in the UK, Spain, Italy, France, Germany and Russia will be among the first to have access to the Nokia Reading application and service, although it will be released to other countries within the year.

From this simple app, users can choose their favourite authors or select best-selling novels and the top local books in their own languages, The Mobile Indian notes.

Nokia Reading also lets users browse some sample pages before they are asked to buy that book, which will help them judge the book before the purchase.

Nokia Reading boasts a wide range of titles, as well as a large collection of English novels such as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, One Day, and The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
