As of 9 September, Nokia's new Ovi Store will free MP3 track purchases of DRM technologies, which would normally be used to control the use of digital media by preventing access, copying or conversion to other formats by end-users.
The cellular giant's unlimited music download service, “Comes with Music”, will also undergo a name change and will become known locally as “Ovi Music Unlimited”.
The service offers unlimited track downloads for the specified period from Ovi Music's more than six million tracks from local and global artists.
However, tracks downloaded from Ovi Music Unlimited will not be DRM-free, notes Nokia.
