Nokia`s N-Gage cracked?
The Nokia N-Gage, a handheld gaming device that can also be used as an MP3 player, wireless browser and telephone, used to be the only device that played its own games. "Not anymore," report Design Technica and ZDNet. "Now that the security on the N-Gage has been cracked the games can be played on other mobile phones as well such as the Siemens SX1."
The sites expect this to be the start of a process that will see third-party hardware add-on sales of devices that will enable many phones to "simply suck up the N-Gage content, then go on their merry way".

New Sun specs
Sun Microsystems plans to update its Java System server software today, to comply with security and privacy guidelines set by the Sun-backed standards group Liberty Alliance, reports ZDNet.
The Liberty Alliance Phase 2 specifications give Web site owners and end-users the ability to share personal data, such as network logon information and credit card numbers, across several Web sites. That would eliminate the need to re-enter the information multiple times. Sun says it will release an "early access" version of its Java System Identity Server with the latest Liberty Alliance software today.
