The South African chapter of the International Nortel Users Association for Middle East and Africa (INNUA MEA) will host its annual user conference and exhibition at Sun City from 13 to 15 November.

The INNUA MEA 2005 conference and exhibition is an industry event for Nortel users wanting exposure to the latest technology, business-critical and a variety of activities, says Logan Pather, MD of Nortel SA.

A vendor exhibition centre for Nortel partners will be introduced to showcase products and solutions. Some of the partners confirmed for the exhibition include GijimaAst, Business Connexion, TTS Africa, Sycom and Channel, INNUA MEA says.

In addition to providing a platform for networking, the case study-driven event will provide attendees with a direct interface with senior Nortel executives who will fly out for the conference, says Pather.

International guest speakers, Michel Clement, Nortel president for France, Middle East and Africa; Peter Finter, VP, marketing for EMEA; and Yves Roux, VP for Africa, will highlight developments in telephony, infrastructure and convergence. They will discuss the challenges facing the new mobile workforce and determining ways to deal with the unknown aspects of a mobile workforce, he says.

The speakers will also discuss IP telephony, e-business, customer relationship management and security challenges faced by a mobile workforce.
