Marketing communications solutions company Nyalu Communications, a level one B-BBEE contributor which offers printing, branding, graphic design and media buying services to its customers, has bought a Xerox D95 copier/printer and a Xerox X1000CP full colour digital press from Bytes Document Solutions, Africa's leading document management technology and services company, and the largest Xerox distributor in the world.

One-stop print service providers like Nyalu Communications are continually looking for ways to effectively produce increasing numbers of smaller jobs. These presses will make it easier for the company to produce more work in the print room in less time.

Nyalu's digital print room will now be able to offer everything from design through to fulfilment under one roof. The offering includes large merchandise products such as wide format indoor POS and exhibition graphics, poster graphics and outdoor signage, and a broad range of small format merchandise products.

"We needed to up our print turnaround times to enable us to better meet our clients' needs," says Ephraim Mashisani, MD of Nyalu Communications. "Deadlines are tighter than ever in today's fast-moving economy, and as a print business, we have to ensure quick, effective delivery. The two new Xerox presses will enable us to do that while maintaining exceptionally high quality and standards. In addition to being faster and more reliable than our previous press, the Xerox machines come with 24-hour support, seven days a week. That is critical for us."

The Xerox D95 copier/printer is a monochrome light production printer with speeds of up to 100 pages per minute. It offers production print, copy, scan, and advanced finishing capabilities that allow print companies to produce innovative, diverse, and professional output. "It's an excellent addition to any print business as it helps companies like Nyalu Communications expand their offerings to your customers, build their customer base and boost revenues as a result of increased customer satisfaction," says Paul Haglich, product marketing manager at Bytes Document Solutions.

The D95 uses several different media types and offers fast speeds and productive output that helps users to save time and money. The image quality is unsurpassed. It's also easy to use and minimal training is required, so users can be up and printing quickly and produce more jobs immediately. It offers the flexibility to choose the print speed, server options, and the media feeding and finishing capabilities that make the most sense for the business.

The Xerox Colour X1000CP full colour digital printing press provides Nyalu Communications with a production colour printer that delivers sharp, rich, digitally mastered image quality to their customers. It comes with an automated colour quality suite of tools to allow users to drive more high quality jobs through their digital print shop and reduce costs as a result of automated workflow. It is ideal for a variety of applications, including booklets, brochures, posters, business cards, manuals and C/Z-fold inserts.

"With the Xerox Colour X1000CP digital printing press, Nyalu Communications can produce more jobs at a lower cost," says Haglich. "The press accommodates many different types of media and it can print anything from lightweight mailers to thick, heavyweight brochures. It's the perfect addition to any growing print operation."

"The new presses will ultimately allow us to do more with less, which is a priority for every print business," says Mashisani. "We can also introduce new products and services to attract new customers and get more work from our existing clients. Xerox's advanced technology and customer service are making it possible for us to be extremely competitive and have become a core component of our long-term business strategy."

Bytes Document Solutions has also bundled consultancy time from XL Business Development into the deal. XL is a global management consulting firm specialising in graphic communications in emerging markets and this unique support will enable Nyalu Communications to focus on rapid growth and business development. "It's about establishing a long-term partnership for the future, rather than just a once-off buyer-supplier relationship," says Mashisani.
