NZ seeks global VPN

A managed, global, wide area virtual private network (VPN) is sought by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reports Reseller News.

Its goal is to deploy a cost-effective approach to its terrestrial global wide area network (WAN) requirements, ensuring current technologies are used.

The Ministry also wants to develop a global WAN that can be shared by other government agencies. The successful contractor will provide billing in New Zealand dollars, performance reporting and other tasks onsite at the Ministry's head office in Wellington.

Vindicia extends e-billing system

Vindicia, a provider of on-demand payment management software, has integrated its CashBox billing system with Merchant e-Solutions' (MeS) e-commerce payment platform, says msnbc.

In conjunction with the recent Merchant Risk Council Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Vindicia and Merchant e-Solutions revealed that Custom Builders USA has selected the integrated solution to meet its subscription billing requirements.

The joint offering from Vindicia and MeS will provide online merchants with secure, cost-effective payment processing, optimised subscription and one-time billing.

IPayX unveils second generation e-billing

Internet Payment Exchange (IPayX), an Ohio-based provider of electronic billing and payment (EBP) technology, has released its second generation eCareview Healthcare Billing Portal, says Market Watch.

The eCareview Healthcare Billing Portal enables customers to make payments and access real-time billing information online. Benefits to healthcare providers include accelerated cash flow, reduced billing and customer service costs, increased collection of self-pay billing and reduced time to establish automatic payment plans.

New features include the ability to allocate a single payment across multiple bills. Prior to making payments, patients have the ability to view an up-to-date history for both on- and off-line payments, including insurance payments and adjustments.
