
OKI delivers HD library
OKI Electric Industry, in partnership with Kyoiku Sangyo, has delivered an HD audio- visual library system to Okazaki City's Audio Visual Library, located in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, says Sys-Con Media.
Based on OKI Networks' IP video delivery system, OKI MediaServer, the system delivers video quality equivalent to that of digital high-definition broadcasting and contains a library of digital videos featuring regional and educational information.
Historically, it has been used as part of a regional communications infrastructure within schools and for adult education, while at the same time delivering content for cable television.
Phitek, Hosiden partner
Phitek Systems, a player in electro-acoustic technologies, says its component technologies business unit (CTBU) has certified Hosiden as a preferred partner of Phitek Systems' active noise rejection technology, writes PR Newswire.
The component technologies business unit is one of Phitek's new divisions specialising in electro-acoustic and semiconductor technologies that can be used across various form factors and platforms in mobile music.
Dr Ben Skelton, GM of CTBU, says Phitek is delighted that Hosiden has completed the qualification requirements to become a preferred partner.
Kobalt rolls out transparent system
Kobalt Music Group has unveiled at Midem that it's planning to roll out what it bills the next version of its transparent administration system, states MusicWeek.
The independent music publisher, which has pioneered online administration, says the new Kobalt Next Generation Portal 3.0 Digital system it is introducing will include tools that have never been available before to the music industry.
Kobalt founder and CEO Willard Ahdritz says the new system will offer unprecedented access to detailed information on collections in digital music sales and performance royalties as well as other digital revenue streams.
