OKI Technologies, the sole importer and distributor of OKI laser and dot-matrix printers, has appointed Getronics, previously known as Wang Global, as the support and service provider for all OKI printers sold in this country.
Getronics will host a help desk solution for OKI, providing expert advice and assistance for all South African OKI owners. Getronics is a multinational networked technology and services company headquartered in Amsterdam, that boasts annual revenues of $5 billion and has 34 000 employees around the world.
"We have selected Getronics SA as the agent for repairs and service as the company boasts a full complement of top-level technical skills and has achieved international certification for the repair of sophisticated electronic equipment," says Neil Rom, managing director of OKI Technologies.
"The arrangement with Getronics provides all OKI owners with a single point of contact for any incidents covered by the OKI warranty agreement," continues Rom. According to him, the extensive network of Getronics personnel located strategically around South Africa also ensures that excellent service is delivered to OKI customers no matter where they are situated. "Getronics has carry-in service centres in five of the major centres in South Africa, as well as the ability to guarantee service or repair on site by the next business day," he declares.
"Getronics is very well positioned to meet and even exceed the service and support requirements for OKI Technologies in terms of help desk, on-site support and carry-in services for the end users of these printers," says Charles Proudfoot; managing director of Getronics. "Our expertise in delivering end-user support to industry set standards is unmatched in this country, and we look forward to satisfying the stringent requirements set by OKI," he concludes.
