Johannesburg, 21 Apr 1999

OKI Technologies has released a new laser printer to complement its current models. The OKIPAGE (OP) 10i series is powered by a MIPS R3000 RISC microprocessor, and features print speeds of up to 10 pages per minute. "The OP10i series provides high-quality printing solutions," says Neil Rom, MD of OKI Technologies, "designed to meet the demands of users in the small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector. "

The series offers a standard IEEE 1284 parallel port, as well as an optional serial RS-232C converter for users who require a standalone solution. OKI`s OkiView software enables set up and configuration in Netware and Windows NT. The series comes standard with 2MB, expandable to 35 MB using optional memory, and a 600 x 1200 dpi graphics mode.

The 10i range is also compatible with Windows NT4.0, 95, 3.1 and MS-DOS, as well as Macintosh supported via PostScript option. The 10i series comes with a one year warranty and is expected to retail for R4595 (ex. vat).
