MSN South Africa has partnered with the Learning Channel to provide a fun and interactive learning experience to South African teens from grades nine to 12. Working in conjunction with the Learning Channel, MSN meets the needs of SA`s growing online teenage community with an e-learning environment.
Live from 19 February 2002, students are able to access three new lessons per week that have previously been featured on the television series, conduct cyber-experiments in the Virtual Lab, test themselves on past exam papers and pick up valuable tips on successful learning habits, bursaries and other information resources such as other non-subscription educational Web sites.
"As the experts in multimedia learning, the Learning Channel is an ideal content partner for MSN South Africa," says Steve Bassler, portal manager at MSN South Africa. "With the Web fast becoming indispensable and relevant to every person everyday, MSN provides an ideal platform to provide users with services and information."
"MSN Learning will give students of all ages the opportunity to spend more time working through lessons as well as provide a valuable archive facility," says Gillian Cross, sales and marketing manager at the Learning Channel. "Our objective is to equip scholars with the resources they need for rich learning experiences and recognise that the Internet is an invaluable tool in the digital world."
