OpenWeb has announced changes to certain of its ADSL Business Static IP accounts that will see the once-off setup fee scrapped and the contractual period reduced, for a limited period of time.
OpenWeb CEO Keoma Wright says the ISP operates on a separate ADSL network for the exclusive use of Business Uncapped clients, which means that business clients do not share the Internet backbone with other consumers. “Business traffic is prioritised and each account comes with five static IP addresses, enabling businesses to host their own servers.”
Wright says, in addition to the limited offer, each client will get a free OpenWeb ePad, valued at R3 995, upon signing a six-month contract. The seven-inch touch-screen tablet device has 256MB of memory with an additional 2GB flash memory and works on the Android 2.2 operating system.
