Oracle boosts cloud with engineered systems

Officially unveiling Oracle Exalogic and Oracle Exadata products into the Kenyan market, Oracle Europe, Middle East and Africa Exa Director, Owen Hughes said the need to cut costs, ensure and increase management efficiency comes with new challenges for business venturing into the cloud.

With Oracle Exadata, Oracle Solaris customers can rapidly deploy an engineered system to manage the critical database applications, enabling them to run up to 10 times faster with the stability that Oracle Solaris consistently delivers, reports iStock Analyst.

The company claims that the combination of Oracle Exadata running Oracle Solaris offers customers continuous uptime with Oracle Solaris Predictive Self-Healing to diagnose, isolate, and help to recover from hardware and application faults.

The ability to safely analyse, tune, and troubleshoot applications on production systems with little or no performance impact with Oracle Solaris Dtrace.
