Oracle intros EPM suite

Oracle has unveiled Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) 11.1.2, a suite of applications integrated with its Fusion middleware platform to help large enterprise customers improve their strategic, financial and operational management processes, reports Datamation.

Incorporating business intelligence (BI) and EPM functionality from its prior multibillion-dollar acquisitions of Hyperion and Siebel Systems, Oracle ERP 11.1.2 promises much deeper integration with Microsoft Excel and Outlook to speed along the daunting task of consolidating financial reports and delivering accurate financial reports to agencies.

"There's been a lot of integration between BI and EPM over the last few years," says Hari Sankar, vice-president of Oracle's EPM product management team. "With this release, Oracle delivers the most comprehensive offering in financial close and financial reporting processes for public companies."

Network management package unveiled

Madison Technologies' Moxa 'MXview' industrial network management software (iNMS) package for industrial Ethernet networks is a powerful Web-based network management tool with advanced functions, states PaceToday.

Supporting up to 500 network devices across distributed subnets, MXview can scan an entire network to create a visual map of the network to help network administrators discover, monitor and troubleshoot complex traffic and network events, according to Madison.

Using either the live-view topology map realised by Link Layer Discovery Protocol or historical event database, MXview users can check network status and health.
