VERITAS Software Corporation has announced that Oracle is bundling VERITAS NetBackup Database Agent for Oracle with the Oracle8i Appliance to provide a complete data availability solution. Coupled with the Oracle8i Appliance, an integrated database application that simplifies the deployment of dedicated applications in hosted services or enterprise environments, the VERITAS NetBackup for Oracle agent removes the need for existing VERITAS NetBackup customers to purchase a separate backup and recovery solution.
