Oracle.com is one of the most visited web sites in the world and has recently been supercharged by Oracle Internet Application Server (Oracle iAS).
Now, visitors to Oracle.com experience up to 400 percent faster response times per average paged served. The massive improvement can be attributed to Oracle iAS`s data caching services, which cache frequently-accessed data in the middle-tier - closer to the application and ultimately the browser.
According to Marc Gower, Oracle SA Marketing Director, database-driven web sites powered by Oracle iAS can respond faster and scale higher as a result of the data caching services, not just Oracle.com.
Users can download Oracle iAS from Oracle Technology Network free-of-charge to take it for a test drive on their own web sites.
