One Technology Group (OTG) has announced NSTL (National Software Testing Laboratories) certification of yet another of its Vision Brand PC system. The Vision Voyager joins the Enterprise and Discovery products in obtaining the "Designed for Windows" certification from Microsoft.
Technical director at OTG, Bruce Askham, says NSTL certification ensures users of a stable, reliable product, fully compatible with Microsoft operating systems. "OTG considers this certification important, not only for quality verification but also in assisting users to reduce the total cost of PC ownership," he says. "By establishing a common desktop experience, software support costs are lowered and the need for training is reduced."
This certification assures the local user of international standards on both the operating systems as well as the components used. "In order to obtain certification we had to make use of components that have already received NSTL certification, should we at any time choose to alter the components we use, the entire machine must be resubmitted," adds Askham.
Products are submitted to strenuous testing with products re-evaluated every two years. This is in the best interest of the user as they are at all times assured of a product adheres to international standards as well as utilising the latest technology.
The Reseller channel has the assurance and comfort of delivering a Vision PC to the Market that has been future proofed for software and driver upgrades, thereby lowering the cost of ownership and cost of managing the clients hardware and software infrastructure.
Certification assures users that components used in the Voyager system are compliant with Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows 95, and 98, as well as NT 4.0.
"Currently all our Vision desktops carry NSTL certification, this is a standard we will continue pursuing for all future and current products in the OTG stable," concludes Askham.
