One Technology Group's (OTG) Vision brand PC has won a portion of the Gauteng Provincial Government GT 11 tender to supply, install and maintain PCs and peripherals through VAR Zeros and Ones Networks (Pty) Ltd.

OTG has already fulfilled an order of 300 Vision Desk Top Systems to the Department of as part of the two-year tender worth about R240 million.

"The departments within the Provincial Government operate a mixed environment, so they purchase equipment on a quote for quote basis. With 15 departments in the province, the potential of the tender is huge," says Robert Falkner, Brand Manager at OTG.

He adds that the VAR will be fulfilling the on-site warranty, standard with the Vision systems, as well as installing them and performing maintenance.

"We already work closely with our VARs and that's how Zeros and Ones was able to offer the level agreements it did, which helped it win the tender," says Falkner. OTG will be focusing on its relationships with appointed VARs in the near future, strengthening ties and ensuring they have the support and backing from OTG they require to remain competitive.

"We add value to our VARs through working closely with our component vendor suppliers," says Falkner, "then passing on technology roadmaps, architectures and designs for future systems to our appointed VARs."
