
OZ govt supports management
data centre reform programme, reports Future Gov.
The Data Centre Reform Programme assembles data centre infrastructure into purpose-built facilities capable of handling future technologies' power and cooling requirements and satisfying the government's demand for data centre space.
According to Tech World, the government department has been given the green light to procure a software package to support internal audit and corporate risk management.
DSTA requires an enterprise risk management package for five applications, including risk management, audit, compliance, incident management and claims management. The modules must also integrate with each other.
PS News states that the Australian National University has entered a new strategic partnership with the Australian Risk Policy Institute (ARPI) to research and develop new approaches to risk policy and management.
Director of the Research School of Economics at the university, Professor Warwick McKibbin says ARPI was reportedly the only professional body in the world formed specifically to promote risk policy.
He says it encourages new thinking and approaches towards risk policy, and the adoption of new frameworks for the management of risk among leaders, decision makers and policy makers in Australia.
