Palm, now a Strategic Platform Partner in the Siebel Alliance Program, and Siebel Systems have agreed to jointly market and sell a suite of high-quality mobile sales solutions, providing companies with tried, tested and proven technology from two of the most well-respected and well-known business brands in the world. The companies kicked off the expanded alliance in Chicago at Siebel Worldwide User Week 2001, by featuring Siebel 7, the latest release of Siebel eBusiness Applications and Siebel Sales Handheld 7 for Palm OS.

Siebel Sales Handheld 7 is the mobile version of Siebel Sales. This product is designed specifically to help sales professionals do their jobs more effectively and profitably by providing the means to focus on the right deals at the right time.

Palm in the enterprise

More than 80% of Palm handhelds are synchronised at work and 40% of Palm handhelds are paid for and/or reimbursed by companies. Siebel Sales Handheld 7 for the Palm OS will be generally available from Siebel Systems in Q1 2002.
