Panda adds cloud-based protection

Panda Security has rolled out a secure content management appliance called Panda GateDefender Performa version 4.0, reports Business Solutions.

The exponential rise in the number of Web-based threats, along with the growing use of social networking and other Web 2.0 applications, has created major bandwidth and network performance issues for businesses, lowering employee productivity and increasing security risks.

This updated release offers hybrid cloud protection against Internet-born malware and spam for small and medium-size enterprises as well as enterprise computing environments.

Technicolor unveils management platform

Customers can access the service through a Web interface, where they will use MediAffinity to automate, access, archive and distribute their library content.

Chuck Parker, president of Technicolor's Digital Content Delivery division, says: "The complexity and demand for more digital products is growing, and MediAffinity offers an immediate-access solution that will allow our customers to avoid capital expenditures and development time related to internally building digital media management capabilities."

Dataglobal expands into US

Following its acquisition of Inboxx in May, which doubled the size of the company, Dataglobal is expanding beyond its European roots into the US market, says InfoStor.

Dataglobal also revealed it has formed a partnership with Microsoft that entails the integration of its content management software with Microsoft's Windows Server 2008 R2 File Classification Infrastructure (FCI).

Integration of FCI with the Dataglobal suite enables a combination of Windows file scanning, classification, sorting, and archiving at the enterprise level.
