Pebbletree Consulting, the SAP applications solutions division in the Dimension Data SA Group, has announced that its Application Management House (AMH) now offers flexible-pricing options that are designed to enable customers to control their SAP support costs. Customers can now choose the support activities they need and they pay accordingly.
Pricing models assist customers in optimising support budget spend, making provision for minor enhancements and system changes as part of the support contract. The support budget can be used for system enhancements during periods with low support request volumes.
According to Pebbletree AMH business unit manager Angelika Ehrich, lower rates for low priority requests encourage customers to plan support requirements better and also allows the AMH to optimise resource utilisation. "AMH offers comprehensive SAP application management services tailor-made to address unique business requirements where SAP clients have difficulty in obtaining specific SAP skills."
The AMH was established primarily to offer customers long-term SAP support by supplying support services ranging from ad hoc onsite support to medium- to long-term remote support contracts.
"Our objective is not only to deliver high-level support, but also to identify and highlight system changes to ensure the system remains aligned to business processes and that it ultimately supports the business goals of the organisation. Support consultants are motivated to identify possible system improvements on a continuous basis through incentive schemes based on this specific KPA," she explains.
The AMH is staffed with highly experienced SAP consultants who have worked in the support area for many years. They are not only accustomed to the general SAP support requirements, but they also posses the unique skills to understand and address each individual requirement.
Streamlined, ITIL-aligned processes ensure requests are resolved effectively and efficiently to meet expected and agreed service levels. All support requests can be logged via the Internet on a user-friendly Web site designed to ensure regular feedback and up-to-date status reporting on all requests as well as online budget information regarding support utilisation.
The AMH customer base is growing and was recently extended by the successful bid in partnership with T-Systems for the outsourcing of IT services at Consol. The AMH is responsible for supporting the full scope of the SAP application implemented.
Other AMH customers include Dimension Data, Integrated Processing Solutions (IPS), Novartis South Africa as well as Kolbenco, which have contracted the AMH for ad hoc support requirements.
