Enterprise application software provider PeopleSoft has been ranked by AMR Research in its July 2004 "Customer Management Applications Report, 2003-2008" as having the highest usage among customer management users.
This report also shows that PeopleSoft is one of the top three customer relationship management (CRM) vendors in revenue and market share.

Already confirmed as a leader in CRM total cost of ownership by previous independent analyst reports, PeopleSoft raised the bar in June with the delivery of PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 8.9.
The new release includes usability enhancements developed after extensive collaboration and testing with customers. These enhancements include 38% improvement in usability, which enables a faster average time to complete 151 key CRM user tasks; 46% reduction in clicks required to perform business tasks; and 30% faster performance.
It also includes prescriptive analytics, new customer portfolio management, and partner relationship management products. In total, it offers 15 new products, three new industry solutions, and more than 700 new features. With the prescriptive analytics product, the suite takes analytics from the identification of customer behaviour and expected outcomes and turns it into informed action. The customer portfolio management product in the suite enables companies to determine the value of each customer, develop customer segments based on that value, create differentiated plans for each segment, and act on them. The partner relationship management product enables companies that sell through channels, brokers, dealers, agents, and other third-parties to manage their partner relationships more effectively.
PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 8.9 delivers industry-specific built-in best practices; flexible customer data models; and a configurable, tightly integrated platform.
