Global eBusiness solution provider PeopleSoft, offers customers the ability to learn about PeopleSoft`s solutions through Knowledge Center, a voice-interactive online classroom, locally distributed and supported by e-learning technology provider Campuswise using InterWise, a live e-learning solution.
The online courses are designed to teach customers about their organisation` s PeopleSoft applications and help build other desktop and technical skills to enhance their job performance. According to Jan Coetzee, local PeopleSoft MD, InterWise`s remote learning offers PeopleSoft`s customers a modern convenient way to learn and teach customers about PeopleSoft applications and related internet technologies.
He says, "As people and the internet are key to PeopleSoft`s business it views interactive learning as a vital contribution to its service provision. Users can gain knowledge instantly and effortlessly and share that knowledge"
George Verster, Campuswise MD says the Internet is becoming increasingly accessible for training, educating and informing individuals and groups such as the corporate market, which is an ever-changing dynamic market. "Users can only benefit from learning more about the applications and solutions utilised within their company."
"PeopleSoft`s Knowledge Center is a good example of empowering one`s own clients," he continues. "Whilst in the process of gaining knowledge a customer can increase overall productivity and reduce costs by offering the delivery of lessons online."
The first stage is a range of internet-based, self-paced training modules, "Skills On Demand", offering customer`s employees immediate access to a wide range of web-based courses, on PeopleSoft and Vantive topics, and on related technologies such as HTML, Internet, SQL Server and Networking.
This year PeopleSoft adds Live Webcasts to the Knowledge Center service. "Live Webcast" service, links a live instructor in a PeopleSoft studio with students at remote locations, live and interactively.
Pay-per-use courses range from beginner to advanced allows students to find the best course for their level. The asynchronous, web-based format allows them to choose the best time and pace for to take a course.
"As a strategic part of our future education services, internet-based e-learning services are an area of the business, which will develop greatly over the coming years, particularly in a local market that is eager and willing," concludes Coetzee.
