Fujitsu Siemens Computers has announced its latest SCENIC PC models featuring the brand new Intel 915G Express chipset. The new systems, which target primarily professional users, feature integrated Intel 900 GMA graphics, making them ideal for graphic applications in professional environments.
The new PCI Express x16 interface ensures they are geared to future requirements. In addition to their outstanding processing performance, the special manageability and security functions mean the new SCENICs can be easily integrated into existing IT infrastructure. Fujitsu Siemens Computers also paid special attention to ergonomics, while ease-of-use and exceptionally quiet operation make the new SCENIC PCs extraordinarily versatile corporate workstations.
Fujitsu Siemens Computers has designed two new SCENIC i915G PC lines for different types of customers:
The Business Line is aimed at small and mid-sized companies trying to reduce expenditure while still having the benefit of state-of-the-art equipment. This range includes the SCENIC N320 desktop and SCENIC P320 microtower.
The Premium Line was designed for large companies trying to reduce overall IT costs, but still requiring performance beyond that of a standard PC. The ergonomic platform features extensive administrative options and easy-to-use security features. This product array includes the small format SCENIC E620 desktop and the highly expandable SCENIC W620 tower model.
Alongside the SCENIC E Green PC, Fujitsu Siemens Computers also offers the W620 in "green" format. Fujitsu Siemens Computers manufacturers all its PCs according to standardised development, production, transport and recycling guidelines. The company, however, has again demonstrated its deep environmental commitment by equipping its SCENIC Green PCs with halogen-reduced and lead-free-soldered mainboards.
When designing the new SCENIC PCs, Fujitsu Siemens Computers engineers paid special attention to access security and data protection by including an optionally integrated SmartCard reader. In combination with a PIN code and the SecureIT package - which contains the software SICRYPT SMARTY and SmartCase - the new systems are heavily safeguarded.
The ManageIT software suite and the DeskView client management solution make simple work of administering SCENIC PCs in corporate networks. DeskView, based on leading technologies from Altiris and Fujitsu Siemens Computers, is an integration solution that allows customers to centrally manage their client systems reliably and efficiently. The automated central distribution of applications and operating system software makes PC administration much easier, while significantly lowering operating costs.
SCENIC PCs from Fujitsu Siemens Computers with the Intel 915G Express chipset will be available from July onwards.
