Pervasive Software, a global player in agile, embeddable management and integration software, has entered into a strategic technology partnership with ENSCO, a diversified research, development and IT company, states CNN Money.

Pervasive Data Integrator will power the extraction, transformation and loading engine for ENSCO`s newly released Intelligence Platform.

This platform is designed to acquire, store and deliver clinical information from any number of data and content sources to create a flexible repository of clinical information.

Lakeside selects Microsoft

Lakeside Behavioural Healthcare has selected Microsoft Dynamics GP as the technology it will use to solve its accounting and reporting problems, reports CNN Money.

Lakeside Behavioural is a non-profit agency serving people with mental illness and substance-use disorders in Orange County, Florida. The company, with $37 million in revenue, maintains 165 inpatient beds and a number of outpatient programmes.

The agency had been operating with a Unix-based software system known as CMHC/MIS, which is specific to the healthcare and behavioural healthcare industry. However, the software`s accounting capabilities for general ledger and financial reporting were weak, and it offered no inventory management capabilities.

OION releases MedTech

Oxford Investment Opportunity Network (OION) has released OION MedTech, to assist companies in the healthcare sector seeking business development funding, said PharmaLive.

At a launch event held in Oxfordshire, investors and guests listened to presentations by an expert panel of healthcare industry representatives and financiers, before discussing the role that private equity can play in helping entrepreneurs to develop innovative technologies.

The audience viewed investment pitches by six innovative companies seeking funding to exploit healthcare technologies.
