Piag names chairman
The Printing & Imaging Association of Georgia (Piag) has announced David Canady, president of Imedia Group in Macon, Georgia, as its 2009 chairman of the board, reports Graphic Arts Online.
As chairman, Canady will lead an all-volunteer board of 22 officers and directors. This board is responsible for protecting and advancing the vision and mission of Piag through regular meetings concerning all aspects of the association.
Canady will be responsible for ensuring the success of the 2009 Piag board initiatives, and will represent Piag throughout the industry and the rest of the business community.
Canon unveils compact photo printer
Canon USA has added to its line of compact photo printers the SELPHY CP780, says SYS-CON magazine.
Featuring improved image quality and faster print speeds than its predecessor.
The new printer is designed with a wave-shaped top surface and comes equipped with a 2.5-inch LCD screen, making it easy to review images and navigate through menus from various angles.
Fujifilm expands imaging options
Fujifilm will showcase a broad spectrum of imaging solutions at the PMA 2009 Annual Convention and Trade Show under the banner, 'Fujifilm: Expand the World of Imaging', according to Webwire. The convention will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada from 3 to 5 March.
