Pinnacle announces MSI's NX7600GT Diamond +

Johannesburg, 23 Nov 2006

Digital lifestyle specialist, Pinnacle Micro, has announced the availability of MSI's NX7600GT Diamond Plus, one of the first VGA cards available equipped with High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) technologies.

The NX7600GT includes the simplified connectivity afforded by HDMI with audio and video signals being transmitted clearly from the PC to the LCD or Plasma TV. Furthermore, the Diamond Plus offers a solid, powerful 3D engine that complies with most 3D games available on the market.

This is according to Rudi Thietz, procurement director: channel at Pinnacle Micro who says the exclusive D.O.T II overclocking technologies allows the NX7600GT to dynamically adjust power consumption and performance ratios with ease.

"Users can also enjoy great visuals and high-definition audio in their home theatre systems offered through MSI's high 3D performance technologies," he says.

Thietz goes on to explain that HDMI is the latest audio/video interface standard that enables one-cable connectivity while offering high-resolution digital video and 7.1 surround sound audio quality.

"To offer a consistent home theatre experience, HDMI offers a regulated guideline for VGA card manufacturers and the like to ensure that HDMI-compliant equipment created from hereon out are compatible with one another. It's definitely an industry standard that should be closely monitored," he says.
