Pinnacle Micro has announced the availability of its home-grown Proline range of twin conversion online Concept uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), named ON1, ON1L, ON2, ON2L, ON3 and ON3L.
Rudi Thietz, brand manager at Pinnacle Micro, says the Proline UPS range offers support for delicate equipment and the Concept range is no different. The new units offer UPS support for servers, workstation networks or high-capacity sensitive equipment.
"The Concept online range has been created with end-user requirements in mind. It offers a steady and clean power supply to loaded devices and protects these loads from voltage and frequency fluctuation, electro-magnetic interference and signal noises that are inherent in commercial power," says Thietz.
Due to the inclusion of a new PFC circuit design and the latest IGBT power components, input power has been increased to 0.97, while added microprocessor controls have increased the efficacy of the UPS and enabled a more compact size, he adds.
With RS232 communication ports, operation details such as auto-save and auto-on/off can be displayed and preset via users` PCs.
The unit offers an indication of its status on a front panel, with an audible alarm which can be disabled and enabled at the touch of a button.
"The unit conducts a self-inspection when switched on, which increases reliability by eliminating data loss and the high-quality lead-acid and maintenance-free batteries ensure continuous power supply while utility power is interrupted," says Thietz.
"Backup time can be extended with long backup models, thereby allowing the use of external batteries and an option SNMP interface enables power management from an SNMP manager via a Web browser."
