Pinnacle Micro, the distribution arm of JSE-listed Pinnacle Technology Holdings, has incorporated a full range of products under its Proline brand name, according to Pinnacle Micro`s Marketing Director Leon Lourens.
"Proline is a South African brand, distributed and supported in SA by Pinnacle Micro`s branches country-wide and by a large SMME support infrastructure throughout SA. The Proline range, which includes desktops, servers, notebooks and monitors, is manufactured using internationally sourced A-grade components on local production lines to ensure flexibility in configurations. This also enables us to be first to market with new technology as it is released by our vendors."
With total cost of ownership always top of mind in its Proline desktop range, Pinnacle caters for entry-level users with its Symphony series of desktops, through to power users with the latest Intel Pentium 4, 2.2GHz configurations of its Office Pro series. Proline notebooks range from entry-level machines to the latest Intel Pentium 4 mobile platforms.
Lourens adds: "Proline file servers are fully Intel-based from chassis to processor. With a full range of eight models, which includes a variety of options for redundancy and RAID 5 configurations, we can compete against the best at a fraction of the cost of multi-national equivalents." The Proline monitors include up to the 19-inch form factor and LCD flat panels.
According to Lourens, strict quality assurance standards are adhered to at all times and all systems are tested and burnt-in to ensure that Pinnacle Micro ships the highest quality equipment at the best price. He comments: "All the Proline machines are manufactured on an open architecture and do not make use of any proprietary equipment. This makes them easy to upgrade and maintain over time."
The largest Proline production line is situated in Midrand, while small product lines are situated at the branches in Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth. The production lines are all ISO9002-compliant.
Lourens concludes: "The combination of a comprehensive range, quality at affordable prices, a reliable and low maintenance product, with the infrastructure to support it nationally, makes Proline the competitor that it is."
