PM Tech has awarded a bursary to a previously disadvantaged student to enable her to study towards a BSc degree in Computer Science at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Amalia Vermeulen, currently a first-year student at the university, will join the staff of PM Tech after the completion of her studies.
PM Tech is a South African company offering a range of customer-focused IT services with an emphasis on software development.
"Amalia will join PM Tech staff during vacations to sharpen her knowledge of the Oracle database environment," says Michael Leeuwen, joint MD at PM Tech.
"The bursary is our way of giving something back to the community and increasing the Oracle skills pool in South Africa at the same time," he adds.
