Pogoplug gives 5GB free storage
ZDNet reports.
Pogoplug Cloud automatically syncs users' photos, music, videos and other files to Pogoplug servers, allowing for remote access and the ability to upload to services like Facebook and Twitter.
The company is also giving users free 5GB of storage just for signing up, with 50GB and 100GB storage options selling for $10 and $20 per month, respectively.
Computer World says Pogoplug offers mobile services, hardware and software for cloud storage, and the three are integrated seamlessly together.
The service enables users to host their own private cloud by linking a Pogoplug hardware device to a home network. Or Pogoplug's desktop software can be downloaded and files can be shared between a phone and home network.
"We designed Pogoplug Cloud to give everyone the freedom to interact with all of their personal content straight from their mobile phone," says Daniel Putterman, CEO and co-founder of parent company, Cloud Engines in a PCMag report.
Rival Dropbox, meanwhile, comes with 2GB of free storage and another 50GB for $9.99 per month or 100GB for $19.99 per month.
