Power infusion for Dell workstations

Dell SA has announced the Dell Precision 330 workstation with 1.7GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor, for customers demanding powerful computing platforms. This move will enhance computing experiences, particularly within the gaming, entertainment and business applications arenas.

Dell Precision workstations are intended for professional users who demand exceptional performance in the digital content creation (DCC), computer-aided design (CAD), geographic information systems (GIS), computer animation, software development and financial analysis markets.

A standard Precision 330 workstation configuration includes 1.4GHz Pentium 4 Processor, 128MB RDRAM, nVidia TNT M64 graphics card, 10GB IDE hard disk drive, 48X-maximum CD-ROM drive and Microsoft Windows 2000, for R13 823.

Sean Wainer, enterprise product manager at Dell SA, says: "Processor performance is critical to our workstation customers, whether they are creating content for the Internet, inventing special effects, generating mechanical models or running supercomputing clusters.
