Seagate`s Barracuda ES family of high-capacity enterprise drives are now available from official distributor Rectron. The drives offer 7200-RPM reliability for 24x7 business-critical applications while maximising high-drive count system availability.
The Barracuda ES features multi-drive firmware and rotational vibration (RV) tolerance which are critical when implementing dense storage solutions particularly in external storage environments such as NAS, SAN and RAID.
The drives are also engineered to deliver the best Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) rating possible, plus Seagate has added Workload Management, a feature that helps protect the hard drive when thermal temperatures begin rising due to sustained heavy workloads.

The Barracuda ES is available in a 3GB Serial ATA (SATA) version that includes Native Command Queuing (NCQ) and 8/16MB cache plus capacities of 250, 400, 500, and 750GB. Additionally, a fibre channel (FC) interface is available for 400GB and 500GB capacities.
